Pupils’ transfer from one Pre-Primary school to another

The transfer of a pre-primary age pupil from one public Pre-Primary school to another, when parents move somewhere else, is made by completing an attendance form issued by the first Pre-Primary school. In cases where the written permission of the Director of Primary Education is secured it is necessary that the parents of the child complete a special form which is submitted to the relevant District Education Office.

Transfer of a Pre-Primary age pupil to a public Pre-Primary school from a private Pre-Primary school of the “same type” found in the Republic of Cyprus is made when the headteacher of the public Pre-Primary school secures a written confirmation from the previous school.

Enrolment to a public Pre-Primary school is made only if there are available places.

Transfer of a Pre-Primary age pupil to a public Pre-Primary school from a non-public Pre-Primary school of “different type” or “similar type” or from a school not found in the Republic of Cyprus is made only by presenting birth and attendance certificates.
